Overview
Prevent is the safeguarding strand of the UK's counter-terrorism strategy, and many organisations in the public and voluntary sectors hold a legal duty to have due regard to preventing people from being drawn into terrorism. This course helps staff understand the Prevent duty, recognise the signs of radicalisation and extremism, and know how to respond and refer concerns appropriately. It covers both the push and pull factors that create vulnerability and the practical steps involved in raising a concern or making a Channel referral.
